What I have found so far

Although lots of organizations have put attention on saving endangered species, lots of the animals still need public's attention. People maybe familiar with those top 10 endangered species, there are still a lot of species are on the edge of extinction. We should discover more and let more people know about other animals, not just those famous ones. Places like Danmark, they still have the tradition of hunting whales, which is an endangered species. Those traditions should stop by government no matter the history behind them. I think, there still a long way to go for saving these species.

Save Japan's dolphins!!

I was so heart-broken to see this video on Youtube, it is about the dolphin hunt in Japan. This documentary was shooted secretely and had won the Audience Award for Best Documentary at the 2009 Sundance. "This film exposes the slaughter of more than 20,000 dolphins and porpoises off the coast of Japan every year, and how their meat, containing toxic levels of mercury, is sold as food in Japan and other parts of Asia, often labeled as whale meat. The majority of the world is not aware this is happening."The film has making great influence after showing on the screen, lot's of people started gaining attention of these cute animals. Japanese government called a temporary ban on dolphin killing. But, there is still long way to go, I think.
On September 1, the six-month dolphin killing would open again. This is so crucial and ridiculous because they will keep doing this regardless the international pressure!!! We should do something to save these dolphins! They are human's friends!Get these words out to your friends and let more people aware of this action.

Knut died on Saturday!

this cute polar bear was reported dead on Saturday. Berlin's beloved polar bear--Knut, he is only 3 years old. He is so young compared to the normal living age of 15. Knut and his brothers were rejected by his mother when he was born. The zookeeper( see in the picture) hand-raised him and treated him as his own son. This cute polar bear became the star of Berlin Zoo, and attracted lots of money for them. Knut's father--the zookeeper died 2 years ago, and he was died on Saturday without any warning.
"
A post mortem will be conducted on Monday to try to pinpoint the cause of death, he said.
Between 600 and 700 people were at Knut's compound and saw the four-year-old bear die, German news agency DAPD reported.
One visitor said she watched Knut lying on the surface of the water motionless with only his back showing for ten minutes until zookeepers came and fenced off the compound."
This is so sad news....He is so cute and so young. maybe he just missed his father too much... : (

Save the most cute fish I've ever seen!

This cute walking fish is on the edge of extincition!!! It is half salamander half H.R. Puff ‘n’ Stuff. These little cute fish are being threatened by water pollution, habitat destruction, and due to their defenseless, they are easy to catche. They have special ability of regenerate the missing body parts if being attacked, even its spine and brain. That's amazing!!!
With the growing population in Mexico City, lots of lakes are drained and water are polluted due to the industrial activities. They are also sold as a pet, but I dont think it is a good way to sell them anymore because not most of the people know how to take care of these "exotic" animals and they should be protected since they are on the edge of extincition! \
Wish someone could give them a hand to save them!! They are so cute!
